Report a scam

Tell us the number, link or handle that contacted you, the story it used, and what it asked for. Write in any language. A human reads every report. We publish the identifier and the pattern — never your name and never your story word for word.

The phone number, link, e-mail address or @handle — exactly as you saw it. This is the part that becomes a public page other people can find.
The hook — the reason they gave you to reply, click or pay.
Leave blank if it never got that far.
Numbers only. Leave blank if you lost nothing — a near miss is still worth reporting, and it still warns somebody.
In your own words, in any language — you do not have to write in English. Do not include other people's names, and do not paste account numbers or passwords. We publish patterns, never people.
Only used if we need to ask one clarifying question. Never published, never used for a newsletter unless you tick the box below.
Before you send
  • Reports are moderated by a human before anything is published.
  • We publish the identifier and the pattern. We never publish your name, your e-mail, or your story verbatim without asking.
  • We do not accuse anybody. A number can be spoofed and an account can be stolen.
  • This is not a law-enforcement channel and we cannot recover money. If you have lost money, report it to your bank and to your national fraud authority as well.

You will get a protocol code back (like HSW-RFGZGD). Keep it — it is how you check what happened to your report without giving us your name.
